Trump insults NBA star Lebron James

US President Donald Trump has taunted US basketball player Lebron James and recommended that he prefers Michael Jordan.

It came soon after the LA Lakers star accused Mr Trump of becoming divisive in a CNN interview.

The president responded on Twitter by saying: “Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon.

“He created Lebron appear sensible, which isn’t effortless to do.”

The president implied that he preferred basketball star Michael Jordan, perhaps a reference to the debate more than no matter whether Jordan or James had been the much better player.

In his interview with Don Lemon, James said that sport had provided him the chance to meet people of different backgrounds and race, adding: “Sports has never ever been anything that divides folks. It is constantly been some thing that brings somebody collectively.

“He [Mr Trump] is dividing us and what I noticed more than the last couple of months that he’s kinda utilized sport to divide us and that is some thing I can not relate to, since I know that sport was the initial time I was ever about an individual white.”

Mr Trump has taken a harsh stance on the ongoing debate more than players in the National Football League (NFL) who refuse to stand for the national anthem in protest against racial injustice and police brutality.

He has repeatedly mentioned that any individual who kneels throughout the anthem need to be fired.

In the course of the interview, James also discussed a new school he has opened for underprivileged youngsters in his residence town in Ohio, which gives cost-free meals and bikes to students, as effectively as job placement help for parents and an on-internet site food bank.
