Trump backs Nevada Sen. Heller, talks immigration and trade at state&#039s GOP convention

President Trump talked trade and immigration on Saturday whilst fundraising in Nevada for Republican Sen. Dean Heller. He also unveiled a nickname, &ldquoWacky Jacky,&rdquo for Heller&rsquos Democrat opponent in the state&rsquos Senate election.

The president made his remarks at the Nevada Republican Celebration Convention and mentioned that post-North Korea summit with dictator Kim Jong Un, he plans to move forward with renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and operating on trade with China.

Trump mentioned that he believed trade with China would in the end &ldquowork out,&rdquo but that it is &ldquobeen extremely tough on our country for quite a lot of years.&rdquo

Of NAFTA, Trump mentioned the deal has &ldquobeen a disaster for us.&rdquo

&ldquoSo we&rsquore renegotiating NAFTA and I believe when it&rsquos finished its going to be &hellip it&rsquos got to be a fair deal. It&rsquos got to be fair, we can&rsquot do this any longer,&rdquo Trump stated.

He also briefly talked about Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau whilst talking about &ldquoridiculous&rdquo tariff percentages rates on merchandise going into the nation.

Trump stated Trudeau is &ldquoa nice guy, but we can&rsquot have it.&rdquo

Earlier this month following the G7 summit in Canada, Trump slammed the Canadian leader, accusing him of creating &ldquofalse statements&rdquo at a news conference and pulling his endorsement of an agreed-upon joint communique arising from the economic summit.

&ldquoThe trade stuff is coming along, just beginning, but it&rsquos going to take place due to the fact, you know, we&rsquore the piggy bank that everybody likes to rob from,&rdquo Trump mentioned.

He moved on to immigration, saying that America has &ldquoto be very strong&rdquo and that he believed &ldquoour people are truly undertaking a very great job, handling a very tough situation.&rdquo

The administration has faced a slew of criticism in recent weeks over&nbspan immigration policy that is led to the separation of youngsters and parents coming across the U.S. border.

&ldquoBut this is a difficulty that must&rsquove been solved years ago, so we&rsquore working quite challenging,&rdquo Trump stated. &ldquoThe fact is, we need to have more Republicans simply because the Democrats are obstructionists&rdquo hindering a legislative answer.

&ldquoThey won&rsquot vote. They&rsquore total obstructionists,&rdquo he continued ahead of mentioning Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and accusing liberal Dems of employing the immigration controversy to achieve an benefit in the midterm elections later this year.

Sen. Heller is the only Republican senator searching for re-election in a state won by Trump&rsquos 2016 rival Hillary Clinton.

Of Rosen, Trump stated she &ldquowants to raise taxes.&rdquo He also teased &ldquoa fantastic nickname for her&rdquo just before dubbing her &ldquoWacky Jacky,&rdquo a name he claimed &ldquodidn&rsquot come from&rdquo him but rather was one &ldquothat folks have recognized.&rdquo

He also mentioned he’d heard that she was campaigning in Nevada with a fellow Democrat.
