I was a little leery ordering a pack from an unknown (at least to me) brand. But the reviews, features and price made it hard to pass up. After unboxing it, a few things stood out: it felt incredibly rugged (pro and a con- more on that below), I liked the modular design and there would be more than enough room to cram 3-5 days worth of gear inside. The build quality is great, featuring 600 denier nylon and double stitching everywhere I looked. The con to that great build quality is the weight of the pack. I’ve filled it to the 55 lb mark and did some 5-6 miles hikes in it. It was comfortable and the straps adjusted adequately, but anything beyond that and I would look to a lightweight alternative that has chest straps, internal frame and beefier waste pads. It also didn’t ride like a backpacking pack where some of the weight is distributed to the hips: most of the weight seemed to sit on the shoulders. That being said, it sat high enough so it was still comfortable and snug. One of the selling points to this pack is the modular design. When I initially ordered it, I questioned the usefulness of the two molle side pouches. After playing around with the load out, one side pouch become a designated medical bag and the other pouch fit a 16oz stainless steel mug at the bottom with a 320z Nalgene bottled nestled inside. With a little wiggling I was able to get the zipper to close enough to secure the bottle. Without the cup at the bottom its a great fit. On the topic of hydration, in the main compartment, there is a large pocket for the hydration bladder and a tight opening for the tube right below the middle carry handle. The pocket doesn’t have a hook, but I had no issues the the bladder moving around while hiking.A few things to note: I’ve flown with this bag with the molle pouches and bottom bag removed and it will fit as a carry-on in the overhead bin… barely. On my return flight I made a point to use the compression straps all the way around to tighten it up. I also noticed on some of the longer hikes, the waist band loosens up after a while. Not a deal killer, but a minor annoyance. I’ve also had to of the paracord laces on the zippers come off- easy to remedy, but again somewhat annoying.Overall, this is killer deal for a quality bag. If you’re looking for a BOB in your trunk or a weekend camping/ short hiking back, this would be hard to beat. I’ve loaded it out with a sleeping bag, bivy sack, clothes and all the essentials for a 3 day overnight trip and had room to spare. It’s also easy to attach a rolled sleeping bad to the top using the existing straps.Pros:- Rugged, quality materials- Modular design is actually useful- Hydration bladder fits well, despite the hole for the drinking tube being extremely snug- Good valueCons:- Not designed for prolonged hiking (heavier, lack of chest strap, frame and skimpy waist pads).- Waist band loosens up frequently and paracord zipper laces come off easily

I bought this backpack to be for camping/backpacking/B.o.B and it is a very awesome backpack! I love how you can attach MOLLEs to it for extra space. Another reason is that I like to categorize my items in sections so it’s easier for me to know where certain items are, unlike the Teton backpacks where they are all just shoved in on one big hole. The backpack comes with a waist padding and sternum strap which is a plus. If you want to know how much you can stuff this backpack, here is what’s inside:- 1 Dried Apple Fruit pouch- 1 Mountain House Ice Cream Sandwhich- 2 Backpackers Pantry Vegan main dish- 2 MREs- 2 Pair of Boxers- 2 Pair of Shirts- 2 Pair of Shorts- 2 Pair of Socks- 2 Mini Vaseline- 2 Toothbrush w/ Toothpaste- 3 Bandanas- 3DS XL with Circle Pad Pro and Charger- 5 Mayday Emergency Ponchos- 12 AA Batteries- A Bunch of Cotton Balls- A Bunch of MRE side dishes and drinks- A Deodorant Stick- Adventure Medical Kits Survive Outdoors Longer Escape Bivvy- CRKT Eat’N Tool Minimal Multi-Tool- Deck of cards- Dorcy Floating Waterproof LED Flashlight with Carabineer Clip (55-Lumens)- Esbit 3-Piece Lightweight Anodized Aluminum Camping Cookset- G1 Phone- Himalaya Herbal Healthcare Neem & Pomegranate Toothpaste- Light My Fire Titanium Spork Spoon Fork Knife- Nail Clippers- NAR Protection Kit- Outdoor First Aid Kit (201 Pieces)- Royal Crest Silver Star 15-Function Multi-Blade Knife Tool- Sawyer Mini Water Filtration System- Sol Survival Poncho- Source Outdoors Widepack Hydration Reservoir System (3-Litre)- Tac Force Tactical Assisted Opening Folding Knife- Thermarest Compressible Pillow (Small)Wow that was a lot to list! I might’ve forgotten a few stuff but too lazy to check… Guess what, even with all those items I listed up top there is STILL MORE ROOM TO PACK MORE STUFF. I’d highly recommend this backpack if you are willing to put its MOLLE attachments to good use!

  3. Frost says:

Just got it today. Opens the package and first thing that came to mind is this thing is huge!! It’s perfect for all my gear. Everything on this bag is built to last. It’s Molly compatible which is perfect. And what’s nice is some compartments have a Molly system like the two on the side so if you want you can take them off and exchange them to fit whatever your doing. All in all this is definitely a great bag!!!! However I’m editing this a bit upon inspecting the bag even more I noticed that the flap in the main compartment had one side ripped off. No big deal for me but I just wanted to warn all of you. Let me know if this helped you or not thanks. Hi I’m editing this review now cause I’ve had the bag for almost a year and since then it has been through hell ( 3 tactical classes, three camping trips, 3 snowmobile trips wayyyy up north, and 5 days of hunting up north.) And I can honestly say that the bag still looked the same as when I got it. If you still find this review helpful please don’t hesitate to hit that thumbs up button. P.S. The last two pics are a month old.

  4. Steve C. says:

Bag works well for hauling racing drones and equipment. Up to 3-4 fpv drones strapped to the outside, radio, batteries, tools, 2 pair of goggles, extra props and some spare parts all fit right in and I’m off to fly. Use to have to make two or three trips from the car to the flying spot. Now I just grab my bag and my chair and I’m ready. This is what I bought the pack for and it serves this purpose very well, would recommend to other fpv racers.

  5. TheRRDon says:

I have read some of the negative reviews, and I just don’t see it. It may not be MIL grade Nylon (1000d), but it is 600 denier fabric which I have found to be very tough. It is modeled after a military pack. I has 2 main pockets large enough to carry anything you would need for school or office, including legal pads. It also has two outside, quick access pockets. In fact, I would say be cautious about buying this for a tween or young teen. As a book bag, it could easily overloaded to a point that daily use could have a health impact. But it would be great for camping. It would carry everything a Boy Scout would need for a weekend camp out. If you have ever been or had a Scout, you know that is saying something.I bought this to use as a Range Bag. Among other things I carry a set of lead-shot shooting rests. Together they are almost 40 lbs. In addition, I carry ammo and pistols along with a spotting scope, gloves, hearing protection, and cleaning and maintenance tools and supplies.I am 6’2 and in reasonable shape. This bag holds everything I want to carry. My wife cannot even pick it up. It is working very well for me and it certainly didn’t fall apart when I picked it up. I use a one shoulder carry for short distances and the one strap holds all the weight. If you run out of space, there are numerous MOLLE loops and you can find an endless selection of MOLLE compatable pockets and pouches. Obviously, the old ALICE system can also be fitted.I could say that the buckles slip, but that is not a fault, just the nature of the buckles. As a former soldier, I know all the ways to prevent that slippage..Overall, I would say “Buy this Bag.”

  6. spencer lee marshall says:

Great bag. I am outfitting it as a 4-5 day camping/bug out bag. I got my 15″ laptop and charger, 3 full sets of clothes, two heavy pullovers, winter cap, gloves and more into the primary compartment. A sleeping bag and single man tent will hang off the MOLLE system and lappy left for an 8″ tablet. hotspot and pocket chargers for camping. The large poncho is on order and will go into the second largest pocket along with a sleeping bag liner. There will still be plenty of room left over in that for more. I will probably get a 30L waist/shoulder MOLLE system bag for food and hang it off this one or wear independently. 2 litre water bladder will fit nicely in the hydration compartment against my back. Water filtration kit and MUCH more will go into the two remaing smaller compartments. Great build and extra strong material. Perfect 1st stage protracted camping, or bug out bag as is. Very strong zippers, padded shoulder straps and strong waist belt plus chest cinch. Can’t go wrong with this one people. 50L pack here.

  7. Buongiorno says:

The only item that would make this a 5-star is the size… It was the largest size offered, and is much much smaller than the large ALICE style issue backpack. On the plus side, the number of compartments appears adequate. An improvement would be the addition of side pockets, which is missing. I may update the review after some serious usage experience.

  8. sean says:

This is an excellent pack and very worth the purchase. I bought it to help with my bike ride to work and it fits all I need with plenty of room to spare – Lunch bag, jacket, several books, water bottle, and many other smaller items. It could easily be a bag for a long weekend trip. Very solid and secure. Great zippers and pockets expand excellently, with very solid clips. Plenty of space to hook a carabiner for keys and other items. Extremely pleased I did the research and chose this pack. Very strongly recommend.

  9. AniAaron2321 says:

Bought this for my emergency survival bag. I can still fit my collapseable lantern and crank solar radio in the largest compartment which is already holding 2 pounds jerky, 24 protein bars, a full set of child’s clothing, a small and large ace bandage, 10 Ritz cheese and cracker packets, 2 small Ziploc bags of dry cereal & veggie chips. Love the hidden compartment for money/doc’s. The second largest compartment is empty that will be filled with my emergency water pouches but as you can see in the photos lots of room little small pouch which I put my chargers in.The two small compartments in the front of the bag as you can see it has been filled with an aid kit ( I stuffed more things in there than what it came with ) along with a lot of other stuff. It’s very comfortable to wear even with all that stuff in it and it’s not even heavy. Not yet, we’ll see when the 20 pounds of water is added into it but I’m very satisfied with this purchase.
