I’m not sure if the bag has been updated since some of the other reviews, but this is the real deal!! I was active duty Marine Corps and would have loved to have a bag like this while deployed!!. Incredible products inside the kick-butt bag. I am completely impressed and will order more of these

I purchased one of these bags through a different vendor before I thought to search Amazon. My mistake since the shipping was $21 extra . Good product that can be easily supplemented for items not included. Additional bathroom tissue is needed (kit includes individual tissue pocket pack & wet wipes) , flatware {none included) , cordage not included. 4 Heat tabs included but no directions for use. Simple enough, just light a match & they work well with the included stove but provide more fire than is needed for one heating session. I would suggest cutting tabs in half to preserve & not waste. Meals are tasty & hearty. Be aware that the meals come in packages that have to be measured out for 4 meals per package. There is no measuring device so you have to just eyeball it. The reconstituted food needs to be stirred while being heated but once again , no utensils included. BIG ISSUE……The kit touts 32 meals but only includes 20 meals & the additional 12 are counted in a package of whey milk that gives 12 servings. Overall, good kit. I will order several more & add my own misc items (tube tent, cordage, light stick, etc).

I was worried the bag was going to be too big for my kids to carry. But it is actually not too big considering the amount of items in the bag – and there was some extra space at the top that I could put a few other items in, if I wanted to. Anyway, besides my 2 year old, my other kids could easily carry their own bag – and it definitely has a lot of items that would be useful in an emergency.

Great basic emergency survival kit! I bought this kit to put in my car in case a large earthquake hits Seattle. Yes, it could have more features (I am putting a 1/2 roll of toilet paper in mine), but I like that the company tried to make it as economical as possible and then gave recommendations for upgrading it yourself (e.g., adding a knife to replace the box cutter). The backpack is comfortable and higher quality than I expected. And the customer service was outstanding – when I mentioned that I got two paracord bracelets but no cutter, they immediately apologized and sent me an entire second kit! I even gave them an out (another cutter would be fine), but they insisted on going above and beyond. I was totally floored…and now I have a second kit to put under my bed. Highly recommended! 🙂

This is so Kool and so easy to use!!! We love it!!

  8. Jesse says:

The back pack is pretty solid, and some of the things I don’t like are my own fault for not fully reading the description. But the structure doesn’t make sense. It says five day survival , but doesn’t provide things to cover 5 days. For instance they only give you enough water for a couple days, not five, and all the food needs boiling water to rehydrate and that takes even more water that’s not provided . You have to boil the water and they only way to do it is with the portable stove but they only give you 4 fuel tabs. So you can’t even boil for five days even if you had the water. And finally my biggest pet peeve is the water they sent was produced in 2013.:. So my brand new survival kits water has already lost 4 years off it shelf life.I would recommend just building your own kit or buying from another vendor.

Sharp, well-made easy-to-use saw. Very handy tool to have in your backpack. You can take down branches or small trees. The fire starter is also works fine. All around good product! I tested both and very happy to have them with me on my trail.

  11. D. says:

Worked like a complete champ! So I have this old maple tree with branches 25 feet high and 4-6″ thick. I went out to test this on a limb and wound up doing the whole job in about 45 minutes because it works so easily. Long lengths of paracord extended the handles and I tied one end to a wrench for a throwing weight. The only hard part was getting the line in some hard to reach spaces. I also found the cutting very easy to control while removing a large branch over a roof and gutter. What a great price and performance, I’m thrilled to save elderly parents a couple hundred in tree trimming fees. Thanks SUMPRI.

  12. T lb. says:

When I emptied the contents of the backpack I emediately checked the electronics to make sure they worked. They provided the batteries which is great. The flashlight worked. Check! However the radio did not. I contacted the customer service and they were quite amazing. Very polite and easy to deal with. They fixed any issue I had and dealt with it quickly.
