Very good morning on this drizzly Tuesday.

As New York continues to mourn the victims of Saturday&rsquos limo crash in Schoharie, there are still a lot of unanswered inquiries about the accident, like the identities of all of the victims and what brought on the crash.

It&rsquos also unclear whether the passengers have been wearing seatbelts, but according to officials, they did not appear to be making use of them.

Under New York State law, they had been not required. The law demands all front-seat occupants of vehicles to buckle up and all youngsters to be restrained appropriately, but the very same laws do not apply to back-seat passengers.

And when we ride in hired vehicles, like taxi cabs, we often don&rsquot use them.

Only 38 % of us use seatbelts in yellow cabs, according to a 2014 survey from the Taxi and Limousine Commission. (Yet another study found that 93 % of us wear seatbelts in our personal vehicles.)

Here&rsquos what else is taking place:

It was the afternoon, which was like us, rosy and young, amid a soundtrack of curses and honks, we had been like characters, all of New York blurring the immediate we recognized each and every other in the sea of strangers, and waved, practically operating, beaming, immortal.
