Nafta with no Canada?

&bull The U.S. and Mexico have agreed to revise key components of the North American Cost-free Trade Agreement, leaving Canada&rsquos function in the three-country pact uncertain.

President Trump threatened on Monday to impose car tariffs on the U.S.&rsquo northern neighbor if it did not &ldquonegotiate relatively.&rdquo American lawmakers reacted with confusion and concern, uncertain if the agreement was legal or advisable, and some enterprise leaders stated Canada&rsquos inclusion was essential.

The question now becomes no matter whether a trilateral accord becomes a bilateral a single, or whether Mr. Trump&rsquos threats pressure Canada to return to the negotiating table and accede to many of his demands. The Canadian foreign minister will be in Washington right now for talks.
