Google Cloud Launches Blockchain Toolkit for App Developers

Google Cloud Blockchain Digital Asset

Building blockchain solutions for enterprise customers just got easier for Google Cloud users, thanks to a collaboration between the computing giant and a distributed ledger technology (DLT) startup led by former JPMorgan executive Blythe Masters.

Announced on Monday, the partnership will see Digital Asset offer a application improvement kit (SDK) to developers functioning on Google Cloud, enabling them to test and create blockchain applications without having getting to code the complete platform themselves.

Leonard Law, Head of Monetary Solutions Platform at Google Cloud, stated in a statement that DLT has &ldquogreat prospective&rdquo for customers in a quantity of industries.

&ldquoDLT has wonderful prospective to benefit customers not just in the economic services market, but across many industries, and we&rsquore excited to bring these developer tools to Google Cloud.&rdquo

&ldquoWe&rsquore partnering with Google Cloud to offer developers with a full stack remedy so they can unleash the potential for web-paced innovation in blockchain,&rdquo added Blythe Masters, CEO of Digital Asset and the former CFO of JPMorgan&rsquos investment bank. &ldquoThis will minimize the technical barriers to DLT application improvement by delivering our sophisticated distributed ledger platform and modelling language to Google Cloud.&rdquo

Ultimately, though, Digital Asset hopes that the collaboration will drive much more developers to its Digital Asset Modeling Language (DAML) platform-as-a-service (PaaS) plan, which will now be accessible by way of Google Cloud&rsquos Orbitera application marketplace.

Armed with these merchandise, the organization boasts that developers will have access to an &ldquoend-to-end toolkit to create and deploy sophisticated distributed applications.&#8221

Google is just the most recent cloud computing provider to deploy tools for blockchain developers.

Earlier this year, Amazon Internet Solutions (AWS) introduced blockchain templates for Ethereum and enterprise platform Hyperledger Fabric (of which Digital Asset was an initial contributor). As with the new collaboration amongst Google Cloud and Digital Asset, the AWS blockchain templates allow developers to generate and deploy DLT applications without having having to create the underlying supply code from scratch.

Far more not too long ago, Oracle announced that it will introduce a PaaS blockchain solution by the end of July and will begin rolling out DLT applications in August.
