Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams has revealed he plans to stand down as leader of the celebration subsequent year.

Meanwhile, Sinn Féin’s Stormont leader has named on the Irish government to appoint a minister with duty for advancing Irish unity.

Michelle O’Neill told the celebration conference that a parliamentary committee in the Republic of Ireland need to also be formed to look at a united Ireland.
