Great product for the price, pretty standard stuff and most of the same things I was issued when in the Marine Corps. Only reason I did not give 5 starts is because the trauma shears are pretty cheap and if I ever need them I do not think they will hold up very long. I recommend putting better trauma shears in the kit.

I improvised and made due with other materials for awhile until i stumbled across this great deal. Organized and neat, not just stuffed till it bursts on opening. Had everything i was looking for. No complaints. A word of caution if you are looking for something like this, get training for what to do with these items. Not much good if you dont ALREADY know how to use it. Get some training and this is perfect for extreme first response.

Great kit. I’m a blacksmith/bladesmith and got two of these; one for my personal truck and one for my shop. I added two things: a Hyfin Vent for severe punctures like a punctured lung, and a couple self-clotting bandages to augment the regular ones that came with the kit. Not sure if there was another version of this kit that had them, so if there was, my bad.The kit is set up great. It also folds out, allowing easy access to everything. After about 5 minutes of practice, I am able to detach the kit from its harness, open it and get whatever is needed WITH ONE HAND. This was critical for me, since if I need it for myself, odds are I might not have use of all didgits/appendages.

I’ll start off by saying, I do feel this kit is absolutely worth the money. This kit contains:1 basic first aid kit1 emergency blanket1 tactical defense pen1 folding knife1 tactical flash light1 saber card1 paracord survival bracelet2 wire saws1 120 decible whistle2 carabiners1 fire starter1 compass1 folding pliers1 tactical water bottle buckleThe first aid kit contains a decent amount of materials. The tactical knife, carabiners, pliers and defense pen really stood out to me. They were all very solid, heavy and well made! The wire saws, as there were two, were also impressive.I did have an issue due to the flimsiness of the plastic case itself. It has four very weak clips to keep it closed, and once I had opened it for the first time and unpacked and unwrapped everything, I had such a hard time getting it closed! It was definitely a frustrating experience, especially if you’re in a scenario where you need to close it in a hurry or to ensure the contents do not spill out everywhere (which, is basically what the case is for, right?).Regardless of this, it’s a quick fix to simply take out all of the tools and materials and transfer them to a better, more rugged container. I plan on keeping this kit in my car, so it’s likely I’ll do that as I don’t want the entire thing to bust if for example, I’m in a car wreck.

Many of these kits are the same. For me what stood out was the multitool, pen, and knife it includes. I saw others about the same price that didn’t have the things I was looking for. I am buy once, cry once and life is too short to carry a cheap pocket knife dude and if you are looking for that with any of these kits you aren’t going to find one. Unless you want to put one together yourself you just aren’t going to find one that has a Benchmade OTF knife and leatherman tool. My purpose for this kit was to keep in my truck under the back seat. For an emergency “you don’t need it till you do” situation. For the price it is a bargain IMHO. If I lost it I wouldn’t be crying all the way to wells fargo.#1 the first aid kit is ok. I wish it included some neosporin type stuff, but I easily added that and a few extra various bandaids. Remember, for the price it isn’t going to come with an Israeli Bandage. If you don’t know what that is I can’t help you.#2 the wire saws can be useful for more than just cutting tree branches. I found them effective and I am really surprised by them.#3 the firestarter works. If you can’t get some dry tinder or kleenex to light up then you won’t survive a shtf situation anyway.#4 the paracord bracelet is a big diameter. It actually fit me and I have about 7″ wrist when I make my own. The paracord isn’t 750 premium off grid stuff, so if you wan’t that..well I won’t say it again.#5 the flashlight works. It isn’t a Fenix so….it still could come in handy.Get a kit, throw it under the seat or in the trunk. When you need it you will have it and not the opposite.

This is an excellent gift for anyone. Everyone needs this, no matter the type of person they are. This kit should be included in every single car, boat, or transportation vehicle. Great selection of survival items that could save someone’s life.

This Survival Kit comes jam packed with lots of stuff that in a bind could really come in handy. I was a little skeptical when I first opened the box but I think it has a lot of items that could be really useful out in the wild. Don’t get me wrong, this is a basic kit and though it offers a lot I wouldn’t want to get lost out there with just this on but in a bind there’s a lot there to work with.- You have an LED flashlight that is small enough to carry in your pocket but potent enough, and able to regulate the focus of the light. It has three modes of lighting.-You have a firestarter flintstone and scraper that actually works. You have to be quick and apply some force to get the sparks flying. Be sure to have the right kindling since this is not gasoline and matches.- You have one designated aluminum wistle that you can hang on your keys or backpack. Get’s pretty loud too.-You have a little LED keychain flashlight a little bigger than your thumb but could give plenty of light when you need it.-You have a metal tactical thick pen with carbide tip, apparently made of tungsten steel. You can use this to break a car window or a glass if you need to. The little tip though will fall off if you are not careful because it’s not glued in there. Not sure why they didn’t glue it in place but I would add some super glue to keep that secure. This is something I’m not happy about.- There’s a woven bracelet with a buckle that has a mini wistle component and a compass. I would be careful trusting this but I think it does point in the general North area, so try not to get lost. The pucle part looks like it also has a small fire starting flintstone and scraper.- The regular size compass comes in a gold metal caseing and I’d trust this more but I just hope by life doesn’t depend on it.- There’s a wire saw that looks like it can do some damage if you need to cut some wood or such. Haven’t tested this yet.- There’s an emergency blanket that could keep you from getting wet, preserve your body temp in the cold or keep you from burning up in the sun. It’s nicely packaged and haven’t gotten to test it just yet. Good item to have. It could easily fit in your pocket.- There’s a credit card multi tool item like you see all over the place these days. It has a bottle oppener, a saw part, a little knife thing and some cut offs for screws and other such things. Could come in handy. I wouldn’t keep this in my wallet though.- Lastly you have the case that has a nice padding inside and a rubber seal that should keep everything dry in case it gets wet.Overall there’s a lot in this little survival kit for the money and if you want to have something in your backpack when hiking or going out in the wild just to be sure I thonk this would do just fine. I am sure it will give me some peace of mind when I venture out with my kayack or on some deeper hikes.

My son is going to be so excited to get this survival kit. He is always digging things out of our camping gear to explore or bring hiking with us. I don’t like when my gear goes missing in his room so we both will appreciate him having his own supplies. He now has everything I have and more! It really is amazing how much they fit into this compact carrying case. It is the perfect size to fit into a weekend or day pack. He has been learning how to use things like the flint and steel in his colonial studies at school to start fires. The next time we go camping I have no doubt he will be testing all this gear out. Everything feels like really good quality. They are certainly as good as many of the things I have bought individually like the fire starter, survival bracelet, compass and tactical pen to keep in my car. He will be really happy about the knife since he lost his on our last camping trip. Hopefully the carrying case ensures that he is able to keep track of everything. I’m really happy with this kit for the price. It is a great assortment and has some things I never even knew might be handy. I think I might need a wire saw for myself now.
