I purchased this backpack because it was larger than my current one that I use for camping. It has a decent sized main compartment that has a pouch and hole at the top for a camelpak to feed through. Additionally, it has three separate smaller packs that attach to the side of the main one – this is a nice feature that can allow you to configure the pack the way you want to. A nice surprise was the fact that the small pack on the very back came with a strap and can be pulled off to be a purse like shape that can be worn around the waist or across the shoulders. If comparing to other products, this whole backpack is about the size of a Rush 24 Pack – maybe a little bit larger when you add the three smaller ones that attach to the outside.I was able to fit all of my overnight camping supplies in this backpack and still had a little room to spare. Everything I put into it is:- first aid kit- inflatable bed (single high queen)- air pump- thermos- rollup water packs (2x)- pot with cups- bug spray- fire starter- lighters- ponchos- wire saw- paracord- whistle/compass- water purification tablets- lighters (2x)- flashlights (3x handheld, 1x table top)- multitoolWith everything loaded up, the pack weighted 23lbs and the straps felt surprisingly comfortable. It also has sternum strap and a padded strap that goes around the waist for additional stability and comfort. Overall I like this product and look forward to using it more to see how it holds up to my abuse.Disclosure:I received this product at a reduced price in exchange for an honest review.

I used this pack for a 10 mile day hike up two Adirondack peaks. It is a really nice pack and I would recommend it to others. I packed probably 25 to 30lbs of gear and the pack was comfortable all day. The pack I normally use is too small to carry that much gear and I prefer to be properly prepared if anything goes wrong (i.e. extra water, first aid kit, wet weather gear, etc). I did not use the detachable fanny pack or the waist strap for this trip but I did use the two smaller side packs. Inside of the main compartments there are not any compartments (other than the water bladder compartment) and things can get disorganized. I used the smaller side packs for items that I might need quick access to. The construction is sturdy and the stitching seems to be of reasonable/high quality considering the price point. The only problems I found were that the water bladder outlet was too small and it was difficult, but not impossible, to get the bite valve out of the hole. I did like the two clips for holding the bladder in place, they helped prevent crimping of the water line. The other problem was that the straps loosened as the hike progressed, once I tied them off that was no longer a problem and the pack stayed in place for the rest of the day. Before you use this pack for a full hike load it up with some weight and take it out on a short excursion to get the strap lengths set up and tied off properly or get some clips that will hold the straps in the buckles at your preferred lengths. I don’t have a guess as to how much gear this could hold weight wise but it is very roomy and well constructed. The camo pattern is also decent and it could/will be used during hunting season. I would recommend this pack to friends.

Tired of negative reviews. This is a very good backpack. It cost around $40. Some packs run $200+. So don’t buy this & then leave a negative review because it isn’t as good as a $250 pack. Duh. For $40 this is a great deal. The pack is very large. Saw a review say it isn’t 50L. Must have got the wrong one cause mine was every bit of that. It also comes with 3 additional small packs that are detachable. Very customizable. Overall the pack feels solid. There are threads sticking out of the stiching all over, i just trimmed them back. Didn’t affect the pack, just extra thread sticking out. The zippers are large & a bit noisey as another review stated. IT’S A $40 PACK. If you need a pack up to Special Forces standards get a $200+ pack. If you want a big, decent & customizable pack for next to nothing this is a great deal!

Edit: Since my first review I have much expanded this review. This pack is absolute trash, stay clear of it. I have no idea what the people who give this thing 5 stars are thinking, maybe they just have anything else to compare to but if you have ever owned a decent pack you will quickly realize this ones massive short comings.*******original review*********50L I’m wondering if that includes the measurements on the side pouches. This was deceptively small. I can barely fit a single set of ACU’s in this with a set of Pt’s Its seriously smaller than you would think it is. Walmart sells a better bag that in hindsight I should have bought. Its neat that there are modular parts but the manufacturer didn’t put much though into securement of all the additional strapping that goes with it. Really a bit of a disappointment in the product. I give it 3 stars instead of 2 because the quality seems decent and while I haven’t drug it through the sand yet it seems like it will stand up.I say again, this pack is deceptively small.********Update: 1 star***********After a few weekends of use this pack is garbage, even at $40 its not worth the money. Its very apparent that whoever designed this did not have much load bearing or design experience.1) The side pouches aren’t actually molle, what they attach to is but on the pouch itself is just velcro, So there is no inter cross weave between attachment and bag possible.2) The adjustments on the shoulder straps are not anchored. They are instead a peice of webbing that then loops through and also acts as the upper securement. Meaning if you want to tightly strap something to the top you have to have your shoulder pads as tight as they go. This also means that you cannot adjust your shoulder straps without having it clipped across the zipper. So no having a buddy get into your back while its on.3) Because the shoulder tightening strap is not fixed and doubles as a top strap the thread is backwards. Meaning you have to pull up to tighten it. Meaning extremely difficult to no ability to adjust the shoulder tension while wearing the pack.4) Zipper missfeeds, a lot5) The snaps for the “molle” system wear out after a few snaps. I’ve worn mine to drill twice and they already don’t hold at all.6) The size of the detachable back pouch is a joke. Its barely the size of my hand. (you can see in the images)7) So many zippers, loops and straps with no purpose. I swear they added clips, zips and straps just so the thing looks cool. Several of them are completely un needed.8) The side straps are barely large enough to fit my hand in. There’s no way you could strap a decent sleep pad to it. Maybe a narrow tripod but not much else.9) The straps come undone… all… the time. They didn’t take the time to sew in a catch loop so all the straps are constantly sliding out and your gear is dumping on the ground. It’s a complete shit show.10) Stitches on the webbing are coming out after 2 uses. Forget what I said about seeming like its decent quality.11) The waist strapping has no securement other than sticking it in a pocket. Any leg will know you cant have your straps flapping around in the wind, too much to get it snagged on. No integrated securement for the waist pack strap.12) The waist pouch is not real Molle either, its uses faux metal squares to weave your securement to, it does not hold as well unless the snaps are tight, which mine were not.I’ve been in service 8 years, Backpacked months at a time in a variety of countries, and environments. I’m telling you, even at this price point this pack is not good. There are much better out there for a similar price.

  7. Slick says:

I’m 6′ 4″ 280 and finding a backpack that doesn’t make me look like a giant with a small tight purse on his back is a hard thing to do. This bag has plenty of room for a couple of outfits and a pair of shoes (for a big guy. Smaller people more clothes). The shoulder straps are long enough with room to spare for the fluffier person. It also has chest and waist straps to help spread the weight better. The best part is the accordion zipper so you can shrink it down to a smaller bag when you don’t need the extra room. Nice looking quality seems plenty thick.

  8. Brandon says:

looks like a pretty cool bag, carries my 15 inch lenovo laptop. planning to use it for ROTC and school! nice bag overall and i didnt know it came with the american flag patch for free. nice addition to the backpack

  9. FlyingRoses says:

I love his bag a lot. It has a lot of space in it. It was comfortable and sturdy as hell. I would recommend this bag to anyone and everyone, as it is extremely practical and works very well.

  10. CF says:

So far I’m loving this bag. I use it for both Search and Rescue as well as travel, and it adapts well to both. Feels very sturdy, lots of pockets, and holds everything well.Update: So far this bag continues to hold up well. The main problem is with the zippers – sometimes they fail to close. I usually take a pair of needlenose pliers and gently compress the zipper which usually gets it working again. Outside of that everything is still holding up well.

  11. Aaron says:

Seems like a decent quality backpack. Good stitching, seems like sturdy material and good storage potentials. I bought this for an emergency backpack and I like that it’s pretty inconspicuous. A lot of other emergency backpacks have a heavy “military” feel to them, which I think makes you a target more than blend in. My only complain is that they used plastic zippers (seems like cheap plastic, too). In my opinion, that’s the one place you don’t want to be cheap. Otherwise it would have been five stars.

  12. chamblen says:

I just got this today, so my review right now is solely based on what it looks like out of the box. I will update again later after I have used it.I got this backpack because I needed something big enough to carry all my stuff and sturdy enough not to fall apart. I work in a prison and we work up to 16 hour shifts so I needed a bag I could put everything I need in. I also don’t want to worry about a pocket coming unzipped while in walking from a to b.The backpack is big and has lots of pockets! Love this aspect! I have a place for everything and don’t have to worry about just throwing it all I the center pouch. Everything will have its place. The zippers do feel cheap. Now I havnt actually used the bag other than inspecting it and none of the zippers got snagged or came off. They just feel as if they might. But again haven’t used it yet. Also I paid 26.99 for it..so I wasn’t expecting gold, you know. The only reason I only gave them 4 stars is because the bag was dirty when I pulled it out of the package. The package was taped shut when I pulled it out it was dirty along one side, like maybe it had been dropped in the dirt and then thrown in the package. Not a big deal I could wipe it off. But when I buy a new product I want it to be clean so they lost 1 star.Like I said after I use it I will update the review. I’m hoping it will last. I will be using it 5 days a week for up to 16 hours a day. My last bag i bought from a different company lasted about a year..i hold out more hope for this oneUpdate 11-13-17I have been using this bag everyday for the last couple months and it works great. It hold everything I need..and things I don’t need hahaAltho the zippers seem cheap they havnt snagged or broke. There is an expander zipper on the big part but I havnt even had to use it because it is already roomy. So far great buy..i hope it stays that way

  13. Ling B. says:

I love the product and would recommend to friends.Very quality item for its money. Hard and good quality cordura, a lot of utility sessions, quality zippers. If you need a backpack for 1 or ma 2 day tasks, just purchase this item. Very very nice quality!

  14. Amazon Customer says:

I bought this bookbag as an emergency replacement for my college bag that ripped. After over a year of use, it has barely broken down at all.The good:1. Space. This bag has a ton of room in each compartment. I carry a 17.3″ laptop in the main compartment, as well as several binders and notebooks without expanding it. If needed, the main compartment will expand and I could carry even more. It also has straps inside that I use to hold my laptop sleeve in place. The second compartment holds my tablet, two computer mice, a bluetooth keyboard, a mousepad, a phone and laptop charger, and still has more room. It has a large mesh pocket that is good for separating your items (I keep my mice and keyboard in it)The smallest compartment holds plenty of pens and pencils, a calculator, a USB thumbdrive, and headphones. This smaller compartment has plenty of pockets of various sizes to hold whatever small items you would need.2. MOLLE straps. This bag has MOLLE straps on both the front and sides, as well as the shoulder straps. I only use the one on the sides, where I have a water bottle attached to them using a carabiner. This is a good way to carry your water bottle, since this bag doesn’t have a pouch for it. The other MOLLE straps I don’t use, though they would be extremely useful if used as a Go Bag/Bug Out Bag. I believe that this bag would be a great choice as a Go Bag because it is discreet, yet can hold a lot of items and has lots of convenient features.3. Weight CapacityI have a HEAVY laptop, which brings my bags total weight to over twenty pounds most days. Despite this, this bag has never shown any signs of fatigue. It also remains comfortable to carry, and would be even more so if I utilized the hip straps. They are padded and seem quite beneficial if you need them.Weaknesses:1. Lack of dedicated laptop sleeve. My other bag and a sleeve inside the main compartment that was meant to hold a laptop and keep it in place. This would be a nice feature for this bag to have, but it sadly does not.2. Lack of water bottle pouch. This was already discussed, but I feel it is worth mentioning again.3. I wore a hole through the material underneath the MOLLE on the front of the bag because I attempted to hang my water bottle from a carabiner on it. When the bottle swung, the carabiner rubbed the material of the bag and eventually created a small hole. I switched to the side MOLLE straps, and have not had an issue with it. However, it does make me question how strong the material the bag is made out of. I have not had any other issues with wear, so it may have been an isolated incident.Overall, I love this bag and will likely buy it again if/when this bag eventually wears out. I highly recommend it for any college student, or anyone looking for a “go bag” or “bug out bag”.

  15. Curt says:

Don’t waste your money. Cheaply made. straps ripped the interior fabric when cinching down. This material. I would not trust on an outing. Maybe a lightweight school book bag. I’ve never had more than 5 lbs in it and two zippers have broken so far within three uses that’s problematic because two of the three patches are virtually unusable now since the zippers don’t sit. The only one that still works is the small pouch that is really good for putting sunglasses. Otherwise a real piece of crap

  16. Sean E. Sharrit says:

Love this backpack!!! I travel either by bike or public transportation so I’m forever needing to carry groceries, clothes, boots, etc. and this backpack expands enough to accommodate as needed. Recommended highly if you depend on your backpack. Those who do, know what I mean.

  17. Bits N' Peices says:

Bag is very roomy. I was quite surprised by the amount of items i can fit inside of it. Great to use as a travel bag!

  18. Ava Taylor says:

Very strong backpack, could put a lot in it. Good price based on this good quality.

  19. Gary Steven Sammelmann says:

This back pack is very useful for carry on luggage at the airport

  20. Tiffany Le says:

High quality stitching. No lint hanging anywhere. Zippers are high quality with smooth buttery zipping while opening and closing.I can tell already, this bag will last many years of usage. Definitely a expensive bag for a fraction of the price. Seems impossible to have a couple hundred dollar quality for such a price, not sure how LeisonTac does it.Cannot find a flaw with this bag. I’m glad I chose it over other brands with similar looks and price. Unbeatable.

  21. whitescott says:

Really great bag. Bought it for a go bag. Plenty of room so far for a change of clothes for 2 people, first aid kit, food for 3 days (backpacking food), backpacking stove, backpacking cookware, couple water bottles, water purification system, etc etc…Just the right amount of pockets, not so many you can’t remember where things are, but enough to keep organized. We really like that it’s sturdy and big, but it doesn’t shout military or bug out bag. If we take the patch off it could pass for a school bag if someone doesn’t look too closely.Straps are comfortable and adjustable.Still working on putting everything together slowly over time, so far we’re really happy with this bag. As we build up our supplies we will most likely purchase another one of these.******Update******This bag is awesome. We have been slowly building up our bag over time and tonight I went through everything and reorganized. We’re just at the stage where we’ll need another bag so I’m ordering another one of these this week. This bag holds a TON of stuff, zippers are strong and fabric is tough.
